ONE PILLAR – The BMW 3 Series represents the most iconic and important model of the Munich house, just think that in 45 years of career over 16 million units have been produced. The current generation, the G20was presented in 2019, and today the German company announced the restyling mid-career. He will come to July 2022 and will be available for both the sedan and station wagon versions, which BMW is called Touring. Prices have not yet been announced.
CLEANER BUT ALWAYS BIGGER DESIGN – The BMW Series 3 2022 edition stands for one style “refreshed”, With interventions focused mainly on the front. The typical “double kidney” now has a more square and geometric shape. The headlights are also new, sharper. The designers have also made changes to the bumper, where you can see the air intakes in the shape of “L” and there is no longer the “tooth” that crept into the headlights.
FULL SCREEN – But the main novelties of the BMW 3 Series they are above all inside where the German house has decided to adopt an even more technological approach by aligning its best seller with the most recent models. We then find a plank that stands out for two large LCDs contained within the same curved panel. A 12.3-inch unit serves the instrumentation function, while a 14.9-inch panel is available for the multimedia system. The multimedia system software is version 8.0, which has internet updates (OTA), and an advanced voice assistant.
ENGINES CONFIRMED – No news at the level of engines for the renewed BMW 3 Serieswhich were confirmed in toto. The whole range is electrified and combined with the Steptronic eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine is present on the 156 bhp 318i, 184 bhp 320i, 245 bhp 330i, but also on the two plug-in hybrids, the 204 bhp 320e and 292 bhp 330e (also available with traction integral xDrive). At the top of the range is the M340i xDrive, powered by the 6-cylinder 3-liter mild hybrid with 374 HP and 550 Nm of torque. As for the diesels we find the 4-cylinder 2.0 for the 150 bhp 318d, 190 bhp 320d, and 286 bhp 330d. At the top of the diesel range we find the M340d xDrive with the inline 6-cylinder with 340 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
PACKAGE M – Available on request on M Sport package (present on cars in the pictures) which makes the BMW 3 Series more “bad”, including specific bumpers, chrome, specific sports suspension, variable ratio power steering, and 18 “wheels. Absolute novelty is the M Sport Pro package, available for both M Sport and for the M340i and M340d. It is separated by various options that include specific black finishes, present on the grille and on the tailpipes, the darkened headlights, the M Sport braking system with red calipers, the seat belts with M finish, and a conspicuous spoiler.

MORE EQUIPPED – Some news also regarding the equipment of the BMW 3 Series, which has been enriched. The front impact assistant with emergency braking, lane departure warning, front and rear sensors, and digital dashboard are now standard.
