In Piazza Affari it is still time to dividends. From here to the end of the year 13 listed companies will reward their shareholders with returns up at 8% and in 2023 the dividend yield could go up to 17%. Rich dividends not only for banks and oil-related companies, benefiting from increases in interest rates and energy costs, but also for many other listed companies that have seen their value on the stock market collapse with the consequent rise in yield.
At the end of November, the Ftse Mib index accumulated losses of more than 12% since the beginning of the year, after having lost more than 28%: with the economy on the verge of a recession and the markets dominated by volatility, investors are looking with great interest in the 2022-2023 dividend policy to compensate for capital losses.
In the following paragraphs we see all the detachments on the calendar on Borsa Italiana foreseen for 2022 and 2023, updated as of November 21, 2022.
Borsa Italiana dividends: calendar 2022-2023
In the last period of 2022, 13 stocks from Piazza Affari distribute the dividend or an interim dividend and of these 11 have the detachment date as the November 21stwith payment date on November 23rd.
On Monday, they released the 2023 interim dividend Mediolanum Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, Italian post, Register, Tenaris And Triad. For Eni it was the second tranche of the 2023 dividend, referring to the 2022 financial year. Mediobanca has detached the ordinary coupon.
Off the main list, they also detached the coupon Danieli, Banca Ifis and Equita Group.
We remind you that to have the right to receive the dividend the security must be owned on the day in which the company detaches the coupon. Specifically, to receive the detached coupon on November 21st it was necessary to own the security on November 18th. The detachment of the coupon is aneutral operationtherefore, if you sell the security on the same day as the ex-dividend, you will receive the coupon and the value of the security to which the value of the dividend has been discounted.
By replicating this calculation for all stocks that paid coupons on Monday, the total weight on the Ftse Mib index is 1.38%: today’s decline in the Ftse mib, down by 1.4% to 24,405 points, reflects this distribution.

The performance of Mediobancawith a dividend yield of almost 8 percentage points which is not comparable with that of the other securities: the coupon detached from the bank of Piazzetta Cuccia is ordinarywhile for the other companies it was an interim dividend on 2023 relating to the 2022 financial year.
Also noteworthy is a 2.35% increase in the interim dividend for Intesa Sanpaolo compared to the previous one and a 13.5% increase in the deposit paid by Italian post. The most attractive return belongs to the shareholders of the banks: Intesa Sanpaolo pays 3.42%, Mediolanum Bank 3.06%.
The yield of is less interesting Triad (+1.45%) despite the 8% increase in the coupon compared to the one detached last year. It also increases the interim dividend by Tenaris ($0.13 to $0.17 per share), but the yield is at 1%. For Tenaris, the exchange rate used for the conversion is 1 dollar=0.97518 euro.
Eni he paid the second tranche of the dividend 2023 relating to the 2022 financial year, with a yield of 1.55%. The first tranche of the same amount was paid last September.

Among the securities belonging to the Ftse Italia Mid Cap index which distribute dividends in the final part of the year, Banca Ifis stands out, which remunerated shareholders with a dividend yield of 7.58%.

From Borsa Italiana’s dividend forecasts, elaborated by the analysts of Intermonte in a report dated 21 November 2022, important indications then emerge for investors who intend to intercept the more generous titles in the 2022-2023 calendar. In particular, the research team has identified the top five mid-cap companies that are expected to post coupons with yields above 8% in 2023.
Among these we point out again Banca Ifiswhose dividend is expected to rise to 1.12 euro, guaranteeing a yield of 8.2%, BFF Bankwith a total coupon of 0.83 euro per share and a dividend yield of11.6%. To these are added Dovaluewith a dividend of 0.60 euro per share and a yield of 8.9% e Media for Europewith a coupon of 0.044 euro per share and a yield of 8.4%.
On the STAR segment we find then IGD, with a dividend of 0.381 euro which corresponds to a yield of 12.4%.
