Focus on securities from the banking sector.

Positive sitting for Intesa Sanpaolo (+ 2.3% to € 1.7684) e UniCredit (+ 0.86% to € 9.662). The S&P Global agency has aligned the outlook on the rating of the two institutions with that of Italian sovereign debt, taking it from “positive” to “stable”. The experts confirmed the long-term “BBB” and short-term “A-2” ratings.

Better performance for BPER Banca (+ 4.67% to € 1.413). The institute communicated the provisional results relating to the takeover bid launched on actions ordinary and of savings of Banca Carige. At the close of the transaction, 96,028,051 Banca Carige ordinary shares, representing 12.6% of the share capital of the Ligurian institution, and a savings share were tendered. Therefore, BPER Banca will come to hold 93.9% of the capital of Banca Carige in ordinary shares, plus 5% of the capital of savings shares.

General records an increase of 2.81% to 14.995 euros, on the day the board of directors will meet to examine the half-year results, which will be released on 2 August, before the start of trading in Piazza Affari. Meanwhile, the insurance company has announced that, at the end of the obligation to purchase the shares Cattolica Assicurazioni, came to hold a total of 222,314,819 Cattolica ordinary shares, equal to 97.36% of the share capital. Based on these results, Generali will initiate the joint procedure, while Borsa Italiana has ordered the listing of Cattolica Assicurazioni starting from the session of 12 August 2022.

Down EXOR (-0.97% to 67.7 euros). The Agnelli family holding company has announced that the board of directors has approved the proposal to move the listing of its shares to Euronext Amsterdam, a list that already hosts some of its subsidiaries. EXOR expects the listing on the Dutch list to become effective from mid-August. Following the transfer of the listing to Euronext Amsterdam, the holding will apply to delist its shares from Piazza Affari.

The leap of Gefran (+ 12.6% to 10 euros). The company signed a framework agreement for the sale of the drives business to the Brazilian group WEG for a total value of 23 million euros.

At Euronext Growth Milan focus on Energy, on the day of its debut in the price list dedicated to dynamic and competitive SMEs. The title records a jump of 12.9% to 2.7105 euros. The company’s shares were placed at 2.4 euros, with an initial capitalization of 147.3 million euros.
