The Realme by now we know them, and we appreciate them, for their reliability, for the beautiful AMOLED displays, the excellent general performance and the quality / price ratio. Will it be worth again this time? Yes, and speaking of ratios, he proves to have a top-of-the-class performance / consumption.

Packaging and content

In packaging we find the USB-C data cable on both sides, the 150W power supply and a well-made and fairly soft transparent silicone cover.

Design and touch-and-feel materials

We are talking about a smartphone from 8.2mm thick and 188 grams weight, not bad for a 6.7 “. The construction is in aluminum and frosted glass behind very pleasant to the touch and with a little protruding chamber block.

There is the always-on display with notifications and about connectivity we find 5G, WiFi6, NFC, Android Auto and Google Pay all reliable, only with Bluetooth, which is 5.3 I had some pairing problems with Garmin smartwatches. Strange because Realme software is usually always reliable.

The display it’s a 6.7 “ with resolution 1080 x 2412 pixelspixel density of 394PPI, refresh rate a 120Hz and certified HDR10 +.

It is a good panel, with the usual excellent blacks, contrasts and viewing angles from AMOLED and also a good maximum brightness with a sensor that adjusts it well in autonomy. Some defects appear only with the brightness set to the minimum, with the writings that drag a little.

Processor and memory

The processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 at 5nm with 8 / 12GB from RAM And 128 / 256GB internal memory UFS 3.1.

There battery it’s a 4,500mAh with refill at well 150W which is not only a champion of charging speed (5 minutes for 50%) but also of autonomy. On a super stressful day with over 6 hours of display I arrived in the evening with still 10%. Good that there is the optimization of the recharge that at night, when the phone will understand based on your schedule that you are not in a hurry, it will be slowed down and carried out in steps.

Software and ecosystem

The software on board is the Realme UI 3 with Android 12 to the base and patches updated to March.

There RealmeUI by now we know it, great customization possibilities, average updates with 3 years of patches and 2 major releases and excellent general reliability. The GT button is also present here which makes it even faster.

Telephone department

No problem with the reception, also in dual-SIM, and excellent audio quality on call, with the speakerphone that is stereo. The dialer is that of Google which does not allow you to record but on the other hand reports SPAM calls.

Photo and video

The room compartment it is made up:

  • a room principal optically stabilized 50MP f / 1.9,
  • a room ultra-wide angle from 8MP f / 2.3 with an angle of 120 °,
  • a room macro 2MP f / 2.4.

This is probably the least exciting sector of the GT Neo3, not that the results are bad, especially from the main one you get good shots, doing the zoom obviously loses quality by not having the appropriate camera and in low light conditions the results are decent. The front room, on the other hand, is a bit subdued. In summary, the quality is medium / high, so absolutely not bad but not even a top cameraphone and if in performance it could beat it with a top of the range here I would say no.

The audio it is stereo and of excellent quality, as well as the volume that is heard.

Apps and gaming

Between the app this GT Neo3 moves really well, always fluid And rapid and without problems even with the heavier or typically poorly optimized ones on Android such as Instagram. The vibration feed is haptic, not very powerful but dry and precise.

As just said, no problem with i either games, which, especially in GT mode, run smoothly and quickly. Consumption obviously in this mode rises by about 20%. There is also the game mode which helps us by silencing notifications or recording gameplay.

Final judgement

THE prices launch of this Realme GT Neo3 are of 549 euros for the version 8 / 256GB (which, however, loads at 80W) and of 649 euros for the 12 / 256GB. Not very few, and in fact there are other Realme with an even better quality / price ratio but he focuses a lot on truly top performance and without sacrificing autonomy. Too bad only for the rooms that could have been a bit more performing but .. maybe the price would have gone up again!
